Transfer Station Stickers 

  • Green circle residential stickers are expiring this year (2026) according to the last number of the license plate. 
  • Black circle residential stickers will expire in 2027
  • All other colors are expired.

Transfer Station Stickers are given to Hingham residents only. To obtain a new or replacement Transfer Station Sticker please see below:

Online Application

Proceed to the Online Sticker Application Form

  • Upload your driver’s license and valid vehicle registration (scan or photo)
  • (Residents) If your registration does not list your Hingham address you will also need to include the coverage selection page from your car insurance company indicating your Hingham address
  • Part-time Hingham residents will need to include a current utility bill such as Hingham Light or tax bill 
  • Once completed and reviewed by DPW staff you will be contacted for a pick up time

Please Note:

  • One free sticker per household per year - must be renewed annually
  • $25.00 fee for additional residential sticker (free replacement if valid sticker is returned)
  • $25.00 fee for residential part-time stickers
  • Stickers are nontransferable. It cannot be taped, altered or tampered with in any way. This can result in Transfer Station privileges being revoked.

If You Already Have a Sticker and You Are Getting a New Vehicle

  • Make sure you take the sticker off the vehicle you are no longer using, even if it comes off in pieces
  • Bring old sticker with you when you come in for a replacement sticker for new car (stickers are nontransferable)
  • If the sticker is not returned, there may be a replacement fee
